Grad Share
Grad Share is a podcast that examines the unique challenges of being a graduate student - specifically, the ones that don’t get talked about a whole lot: like graduate school and mental health issues, single parenting as a grad student, alternative dissertations, funding issues, going on the job market or leaving academia all together. Ultimately, my hope is that in each episode we can confront a specific challenge grad students face, commiserate about it, collect some wisdom and use it so that we can feel encouraged and empowered to do our graduate school work our way.

Episode 3
In this conversation Hannah talks to me about her own career path, how she got to her current position at the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and what advice she has for graduate students thinking about either academic or alt-ac (non-academic) jobs. She also talks about some of the great work she’s doing around building equity in higher education through emotional vulnerability and institutional transparency in academia.
